Why ReviewPatrol?
Built from scratch after Fakespot shut down on July 1, 2025. Everything you loved, rebuilt and improved.
The real Fakespot replacement
Fakespot was acquired and shut down July 1, 2025, leaving 10 million users without protection. ReviewPatrol fills that gap — same mission, no corporate strings attached.
Real-time, instant analysis
Review scores appear instantly as you browse. No account, no login, no waiting for results to load.
Genuinely private by design
All analysis runs locally inside your browser using the page content already loaded. Your browsing data never leaves your device. We request only the minimum permissions required to read review data on the page — nothing else.
Works everywhere you shop
Available for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, and Arc. One extension, all the browsers you already use.

Frequently asked questions
Is ReviewPatrol free?
Yes, ReviewPatrol is completely free forever. There are no paid tiers, no premium features, and no subscription required. We believe protecting consumers from fake reviews should be accessible to everyone.
Is this the Fakespot replacement?
Yes. Fakespot was shut down on July 1, 2025 after being acquired. ReviewPatrol is built to fill exactly that gap — same core mission of exposing fake reviews, rebuilt as an independent tool with no corporate ownership.
Do you sell my data?
No. We collect no data to sell. All review analysis happens locally inside your browser. Nothing about your browsing is ever sent to our servers. We have no user accounts, no analytics IDs, and no way to tie any data back to you.
What permissions does the extension need?
ReviewPatrol requests permission to read page content on supported shopping and review sites (Amazon, Yelp, Tripadvisor, etc.). It does not request access to your passwords, payment info, history, or any other sites. That is the minimum needed to read review data on the page — nothing more.
Which sites are supported?
ReviewPatrol currently works on Amazon, Yelp, Tripadvisor, Google Reviews, and Best Buy. More platforms are on the roadmap.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Install the extension and it works immediately. No sign-up, no email, no account required — ever.
Which browsers are supported?
ReviewPatrol works on Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, and Arc. If your browser supports Chrome extensions or Firefox add-ons, it works.
